It is a shattered world. What once was meant to be the perfect world, an utopia, a dreamworld, quickly fell like a rock and what hope there was, was crushed. Instead of peace, a war concerning differences broke out and the world from the prime that it always had been was seperated into five nations:

The Magis, The Barbarians, The Imperials, The Serene and The Exiled.

The five nations was all located in a circle, circling in the order that they were brought up in. In the center of this circle is a minor landscape, The Enchanted Forest. This is the one true sanctuary in the world. It is a worldwide law that peace dwell inside this forest, that contains a village, a tavern and necessaries. Many people move and inhabit this enchanted forest, to get peace. Others wander trough it with hope of rest and replenishment. All beings are welcomed into the enchanted forest, the forest where peace dwells.


About the nations

The Magis:
A nation with magical buildings, massive fields and meadows, dense forests and high mountains is the home of the Magis. The Magi nation is a nation filled with magical users. A common belief among these people is that the other races are not pure and that magic is the one true path. This nation holds many types of magical users, for example: Wizards, Elementalists, Summoners, Arcanists, Conjurers, Diviners, Enchanters, Illusionists, Clerics, Runers, Mystics and many more. The Magis believe little in physical work, as they do most of their work with the use of magic of different kinds. They even write books with magic. Their troops are often armored with magical equipment.

The Barbarians:
The name speaks for itself. The Barbarian nation is frozen to a large extent, with a couple of mountains and lakes. Living in houses of rock and tents, as well as even caves in some cases, this nation is used to rough circumstances. They possess the highest degree of muscle and endurance in the world. They are considered a very primitive nation, but in truth they are only going by the concept that old times is the best. With light armor and heavy weapons do these men fight in the war. Despite what many could think, considering their primitive lifestyle, these soldiers have strategical knowledge and are not just brutes. The nation holds many different types of soldiers, but what one would not expect is the magical Shamans, Warlocks and Spiritualists. The Barbarians believe that magic is dangerous if not handled with care and that life should not be dependant on it. Their shamans, spiritualists and warlocks use magic, but that is because of the Barbarian's primitive belief in the spirit world.

The Imperials:
The thypical general nation, with the fields, medows, forests and mountains. Massive cities, huge walls, big castles and citadels. Kings and queens, farmers and troops in fancy formations with shiny armors. The imperials have the largest population of people in the world and are basically the thypical medieval type. A touch of cliché and this is the primary human habited area. This nation too has magical users, just like the others, only thing being that these are perhaps even less dependant to it than the barbarians.

The Serene:
The peace-lovers and their mighty forests and mountains. Living often in caves, huts, in the trees or simply the nomad life, this nation of men and women are more than any other nation trying to end the war. With their druids, rangers, diplomats and their will to peace, these are the least offensive ones and the likely most tollerant ones. The majority of the world's elves reside here, but also many other enchanted and natural creatures, such as the centaur, dryads, pixies and many others. Before the five nations agreed on the center landscape to be named the enchanted forest, man often referred the Serene's nation as the nation in the enchanted forest, thanks to their magical creatures and beautiful woods in all kind of colors.

The Exiled:
Many prefere not to speak of them. They are the black sheeps of the nation, with their wasteland, vulcanos, massive graveyards and black cities. They trust the dark arts and paths of life to a large extent and was named the exiled for the reason that no one wanted them around in their kingdom. All exiles carry a mark on their back that indicates that they in fact are exiles. This however is a dying tradition, for now only most of the elders carry the mark of the exiled, for they were part of the first war, the shattering. All those who participated and became exiled was burnt with the mark. The mark being a skull the size of a hand onto their back. Few know what the exiles are working with in their lands and even less than those wants to know. It is the land of the warlocks, necromancers, deathknights and former warlords, as well as assassins, shapeshifters and other types of evil, as well as unethical soldiers and creatures, such as the demons, the undeads and the spectrals.



Specieses/Races available in A Shattered Kingdom
Humans, Elves (Multiple different types), Gnomes, Orcs, Taurens, Undeads (And all that goes in it), Goblins, Dwarves, Magis (Humans but with glowing eyes and enchanted magic), Centaurs, Animals, Dryads, Pixies, Dragons (Rare, as most died in the war), Angels, Demons (All kinds of versions) and many many more. All that you can think of and that is of common sense is welcome.


Character Sheet
A total of two characters per member is allowed. This does not include pets, as a player may have as many pets as this person likes as long as the person keeps it in a balanced way.

Using powers of dark magicl ike Necromacy Arch' Nalzaris can call forth undead legions, turing bones to walking warriors of using shadow magic to create shadow skeletons out of thin air, he could even trap souls into armour creating legions of plated warrior spirits, wraiths that are simply souls that are difficult to hit with normal physical weapons if possible at all who also drain magic energy, fetches who are dark undead beings who wear the skins of their foes they slay and fire high intensity bolts of lightning from their fings from long range, burning dead, zombies, vampires, shades who are other very powerful magic users who can help lead armies as well as have bonuses of warlock magics. Golems of shadow and bone, nightmare beings created from nightmares themselves.

With the staff of the Netherdark Arch' Nalzaris can call forth shadow demon giants, skeletal bone dragons and worms, skeleton kings and put them in soul form, master shades who are super improved shades with more magic power, spectre who are vastly more powerful wraiths created from the souls of immortals as well as lesser liches

Dark powers-Offensive/defensive for himself

Can fire Dark magic orbs, beams from his eyes of dark energy that can flay men alive, shards of power that slice in torrents through people, he can create minor shields to protect from various spells, projectiles and physical damage for short periods, curses such as those that slow,melt, corrupt, weaken singele targets

with staff of the Netherdark he gains more powerful shielding, longer range and intesnfied beams,robs and shards with better accuracy as well as more ability over darkness by calling it around him and creating expanding rings of energy for protection. Can perform curses on fairly large groups causing pain and afflictions amongst them.

Buffs for summoned forces and created items

Arch' Nalzaris can buff his forces with magical shielding, regeneration, increased strength. He can also resurrect destroyed forces, speed them up, allow them to have elemental or magical attacks, or become momenterily ethereal. These powers effect large groups but each summon can only have up to 2 diffrent effects. Arch' Nalzaris can also call forth enchanted armour and weapons for freshly summoned beings, depending on magic power and Arch' Nalzaris energy levels he could create for his army spiritual elemetnal enchanted weapons and armour.

With staff of the Netherdark Arch' Nalzaris can affect his whole force within a mile around him with his buffs and can cast up to 4 on his beings, he can also summon more powerful items and for his elite troops legendary items that have special properties.

(all summoned items last for only 5 hours and only a day with the staff equiped)

Equipment/Tools:

Hourglass of Twisting souls

Most liches like Genies channel their essence into an object, specifically an hourglass, the hourglass of twisting souls is Arch' Nalzaris' hourglass, it channels his very spirit and soul into the hourglass, the sands do not fall, this makes him immortal, the hourglass holds his incredibly powerful soul and this gives him several advantages, first his form is highly endurant for a magic user, being able to take hits that would drop the average human wizard dead, if it is actually destroyed he can come back through this artefact, he can also weave the souls of other beings into the glass gianing their powers, thoughts, knowledge as well as the ability to shapeshift into them at wil, the hourglass gaining of souls not only gives the Lich the power of the souls but evolves the lich through its powerl. The hourglass' incredible powers come at a cost, if it is smashed or broken a fragment of Arch' Nalzaris' soul as well as all the souls he has imprisoned within his own is sent to a far reach of the world, making him incredibly weaknened while he has to find it once again.

Staff of the Netherdark

This ancient weapon is a long staff, the shaft mounted in many skulls, of diffrent races, each skull has a soulstone in the central forehead that emits energy and mist, charging the staff and feeding it power. The staff further amplifies many folds Arch' Nalzaris' own Dark magics of corruption, his necromanitc and summonig powers are increased by bounds, increasing number of beings summoned, the ability to summon more powerful beings, it also allows Arch' Nalzaris' to more easily fire powerful beams, orbs or shards of dark/shadow/spirit energy as well as create enchanted spirit equipment for summons and buff summons with magic abilities, special powers or to reform destroyed summons on the field.

Total Codex

An ancient book containing what is told to be the history of the world of every being, whoever looks into the book can see their fate as well as all those who connect with it, effectively seeing the future, however the book is not detailed, it will give only the slightest knowledge and rough location and happenings of events, feelings, the book through Arch' Nalzaris' power and knowledge can be forced by magic to tell a few more details but this is incredibly difficult and possibly time consuming, draining a lot of energy from any who try and use it for such.

Infernal chains

At first look simple a long burning chain of unkown metal that is seemingly indestructible, but it has a will of its own, although weak willed and can be commanded by Arch' Nalzaris to attack his foes, the chain can spring forth and suddenly unlink, creating many more chains of diffrent lengths to slash and burn opponents as well as bind them.

Appearance/Physical Features:

A dark shadowed figure in long black robes inscribed with supernatural green energy runes and inscriptions, they cover most of his body, Arch' Nalzaris levitates a small distance above the ground usually, although he is not incapable of walking he prefers to float for added benefits like crossing water and over rough terrain. Arch' Nalzaris has his infernal chain around his right arm, coiled and the link on his hand attach to his wrist, while the other end of the chain attaches to his spine, his body itself is skeletal but supernatural energy coils and moves throughout it, dark smoke like mist pours off of him, his skeletal features have a not a pair but six orbs for eyes, 3 in each socket, all of them glow bright white and spiral slowly inside the socket. His black mist and supernatural green energy becomes white in cold weather and snow, and reverses once again in warm climates.

Personality:

Cold and conceited, sadistic, cunning and incredibly intelligent, sometimes emotionless and heartless, his voice matches his attitude, cold and chilling, the sound of it is like a freezing wind

Story:

Nalzaris was one of the exciled, banished from the wars long ago, he was a master wizard but tasted to dark arts and could not leave them alone, into all kinds of arts like necromacy, warlock magics as well as demonology, he was bitten by a vampire lord at the age of 54, and lived 3000 years as a blood drinking vampiric general under the lords reign, when the lord died, slain by a small army of holy crusaders, Nalzaris gained control, however this life was not for him, and so he left, his vampire brothers now seek him out, angered for him leaving them and him being the only elder left meant their race was doomed, since only Elders could create perfect form vampires among other vampires, now they had to prey on humans and this made them mad.

Nalzaris went back to the darkest arts, he in his time as a vampire general found the "Staff of the Netherdark" in a deep underground realm that was home to small sections of demonic entities, he stole the staff and fled, gaining it for his own and now he used it to channel his power into a Hourglass, he wanted to become a powerful Lich, combining his vampiric strength and agiliy with his monstrous magic potential he had to gain many items. He used the staff to channel the souls of great crusader kings long dead and trap them into the Hourglass, he also stole the soul of his vampire lord and many ancient wizards to increase his power morso, he then ripped out the hearts of 100 immortal beings such as Elves and more to sacrifice for his needs, at last after 1000 years in sleep he arose as a fully fledged Lich.

The Crusaders know of him as a corruptor of souls, the Elves know him as the reaver of hearts and his own old kin, the vampires see him as a traitor, he is marked but he does not fear, his incredible powers allow him to raise himself the dark, and his goal is to turn all beings to the undeath at his command.

Powers/Abilities/Talents:
- Shapeshifting. Eftar can transform himself into a human.
- Magic usage. Eftar knows the art of magic, but has a lot to learn.
Equipment/Tools: He has an armor for war, but has never put it on with intentions of violence. The armor covers his entire body with the exception of the lower parts of his legs, as well as the tail, his eyes and his jaw.
Companions/Pets/Mounts: Self-Powered Flight
Appearance/Physical Features: As a dragon, Eftar has blue near pansar skin. He has grand muscles and he is as tall as most other full-grown dragons. This means that a tall human is about the size of Eftar's head. If you pay note to the picture, you can see him in more detail. Eftar the blue dragon is, like his mother, a dragon of the sea. His feet as well as wings allows him to not only travel fast on ground and in the air, but also in water. By spending time up on the surface, Eftar gains his own storage of oxigen and can with a filled storage be under water for up to a week. Also, unlike many dragons does Eftar not breathe fire, but water: water that he can manipulate in different ways, such as hot, cold, steam and ice, along with other things.
Personality: Eftar fears the outer world. Not for what they can do to him, but for what they do to eachother. Troughout his life, he has seen one violent thing after the other, leading to his current state of mind. Violence has to stop.
Story: Eftar is the son of a female dragon and a male human, a shapeshifter. His mother was purely of dragon blood, but after the human shapeshifter and herself had mated and some time passed, Eftar was born. Eftar had herited the aqua dragon's nature, but also the nature of his father, the magician. He knows the art of shapeshifting, as well as magic to at least a minor extent, even though his potentials is large.

As Eftar grew up, the war was faught. His race, the aqua dragons was killed one after the other and upon this day they ar nearly extinct. Despite Eftar's great strength, he has since after being the witness of such ruthless violence sworn that he will only use force as a last resort. He wishes to end the war once and for all, but that without the usage of violence.
Others: Both his mother, father as well as most of his friends and relatives are deceased. He himself is lost in a storm of thoughts, trying to figure out the meaning of everything, as well as this war. Before his father died, he called Eftar The Lost, due to the fact that he is lost in his own thoughts and does not know what to think about the world and those that live in it. Compared to the average adult dragon, Eftar is still just a child.

Both me and Homer agrees with Soridormi. Both artifact and power-wise. I even consider my character to barely be on the line of what should be allowed, perhaps even having crossed the line quite a lot. Imo, you should weaken your lich quite a lot.

Powers/Abilities/Talents: None associated with magic, but she is incredibly skilled with a long bow and arrows, and has an uncanny knack for channeling nature.
Equipment/Tools: An intricately designed longbow.
Companions/Pets/Mounts: A lone wolf she calls 'Kara' tends to shadow her where ever espara goes, and has devoted herself to protecting her.

Personality
Espara is extremely kind hearted, and that tends to be her weakness.
Story:
Espara was born into a well off herd of centaurs, around the time most other centaurs are born as well; early spring. The world she was brought up in was one in which she was taught values, respect, responsibility and the laws of nature. She was fair young filly, never the prettiest in the pack, but quite dainty in her ways none the less. She was loved dearly by her mother and father, and all things went well for the younger years of her life.
Until Kirsti was born.

Espara was still a child, at age 12, but Kirsti's sudden appearance turned her world around. When she was born, their father disappeared, and espara never understood why at her young age. Kirsti had looks of one Espara had never seen before. She stood on two odd legs, with hooves that were pale and skin covered, with little nubs at the end. in fact, the only similarity they really had were Kirsti's horse like ears. Kirsti was born in winter, and as the only child around, she got very much attention, while it seemed everyone had forgotten about Espara. And their mother? it seemed everyone had turned on her.

Espara turned her sadness and lonliness and kindled it into skill, which to this day she still hones. even that, though, Kirsti outdid her in. Even as a child she showed promise and magic, and was taken under the elder's wings to practice the druidic arts. While Espara may have felt envious, she still loved her sister. and even though she was so popular among the tribe, it seemed espara was the only one Kirsti trusted. To this day the two remain extremely close, though it seems to Espara Kirsti had begun to change.

Powers/Abilities/Talents:
Kirsti has strong, underlying powers. What she is able to harness, though, she has been trained in the art of nature. She can bend the elements with her will, but only to a degree. she can use the life from plants around her to heal small injuries, and she can call animals to her aid.
Equipment/Tools:
none. She has been trained to use no weapons.
Companions/Pets/Mounts:
A huge stag serves as her mount, and he goes by the name of 'Brindle'. empowered by her own inner magic, is land speed is nearly five times greater then others of his kind.
Appearance/Physical Features:
( this is a VERY rough draft of her image. I'll re post a new one soon. just so you get the idea, though...)

Personality:
Strong willed and very stubborn. She's quiet in her steadfast ways, and in some things she does one can even note a bit of malice at times.
Story:

An ill favored child. An aberration. Admissible from these people.

That's what Kirsti was, or at least in her mind, should have been. The child of a demon and a centaur was not one to be coddled as she was. She hated this mother of her's, and almost as much hated the father she never had. All she had to thank him for was the magic that coursed her veins.

she was born in winter, an omen in itself. she brought despise and embarrassment upon her family, but oddly enough not herself. often people would blame her mother. ' It's not the child's fault. ' then they would proceed to tell her how loved she really was. An excellent act, that people themselves really seemed to begin to believe. The tribe looked at her strange, unfamiliar body as something simply a change, not a bad thing. When her powers developed, the centaurs immediately raised her above, as if she was some type of prodigy, and began to teach her things she formerly had no interest in learning, something that changed in time. Kirsti thought, in fact, it was her sister who should have been brought up like this. Belligerent beings didn't even see the strength she had, and in Kirsti's mind, that was unforgivable. Her sister was the only one she had been able to truly trust, and still is, so it seems.
Others:
kirsti moved out of the centaur tribe's general herd and, though she is still trained under the elders, lives in a glad about an hours walk away. her sister often stays with her.

I on the other hand has to agree with the lovebirds. Your character seems a little too powerful, BT. I think most agree when I say that we'd like this roleplay on a more gentle level of power Wink

Well, at least I prefere a roleplay with less powerful characters. As for your artifacts, I think that we all should start of relativly poor equiped and have those kind of things evolve trough time. I think this should be a developing roleplay, rather than a roleplay where you start at your prime Very Happy

hm i think Nozdormu dragon is a little too strong as well, he is far larger than most so far and likely more powerful other than mine, but ill scrap my lich, ive lost interested in him tbh and am more interested in a more "mage" rather than "excile" character but i didnt see this one as an "Estratheria" type RP, i imagined it as a stronger RP

but nothing in the rule or otherwise would state my character against the rules and its not really that powerful, it has some bonuses but has disadvantages to go alongside them, I just think most pepople other than Nozdormu has made especially weak characters, tell me what are you all comparing mine to? since its the first character in here and none of the rules go against my character from what ive seen, if your comparing them to your own characters its likely Nozdormu dragon could likely crush all of us at once except mine who would give a fair fight perhap and other niggles imo are that the dragon can almost play two races at once by being able to become human.

but nothing in the rule or otherwise would state my character against the rules and its not really that powerful, it has some bonuses but has disadvantages to go alongside them, I just think most pepople other than Nozdormu has made especially weak characters, tell me what are you all comparing mine to? since its the first character in here and none of the rules go against my character from what ive seen, if your comparing them to your own characters its likely Nozdormu dragon could likely crush all of us at once except mine who would give a fair fight perhap and other niggles imo are that the dragon can almost play two races at once by being able to become human.

Instead of complaining about someone else he admitted his was a bit overpowered....yours is A LOT over powered. ever heard of compromise? Becko said you should develop your character, and I think she should listen to what she has to say, because frankly, no one wants to play with such an overpowered character such as that you have created.

I'm not saying it's a bad character. clearly you've put thought into it, and yeh, he's cool. but to start with? I think not. In my opinion it needs to be toned down quite a bit.

I did notice, what made you think I did not? i was simply stating i belive indeed it is overpowered dragon

Also how is mine far overpowered, please explain to me as well as your reasoning and comparisons, Marie herself has said only one thing overpowered and I changed that one thing, since mine is the first character in here and its not against the rules whos character are you comparing to? what makes mine far far more overpowerd in comparison to say Nozdormu's?

I think my character is getting attacked for balance when i think Marie already cleared it over MSN at the same time as the fact its not breaking any rules, imo i think your two characters are just extremely weak for instance wheras mine and Nozdormu's characters could easily be in the same world together, both your characters would be the "unbalanced" ones through lack of power instead of height.

I dont mind if me and Noz tone down a little if ime told what is needed to be toned down specifically and what hes being compared to, if hes being compared to your own character then ofcourse that is wrong, especially in an RP where the balance ranges are unkown to a degree and i think marie has passed mine after i made one balance change.

I wrote a long response to this matter, but I accidentaly lost it all when I missclicked, so I will make this brief Wink

1. I do think that your character is overpowered, Burning Thought. I also think that Nozdormus character is overpowered. The reason I comment yours and not his, is because his character has violence as last resort while yours nurse on it. While we will see little of his true power, going by your characteristics we will see him bring total destruction.

2. I know there is no set restrictions and I am very fine with you continuing your character (Which you seem not to be planning to do), I jusut think that it would be more fun if we have characters of lesser strength. I know Marie has set no actual rules concerning the matter of power, but perhaps she should. We should all also perhaps agree to some kind of limit to the power and have Marie execute it.

3. For all I care, you can keep your Lich Wink I just think it would be more fun if everyone was relativly low at power and instead work our way up. If we start as powerful beings, I am afraid things perhaps not for the powerful one but for the other ones will grow boring. This is of course just my opinion Smile

Sorry, but Nozdormu tried to compare his to yours, and I personally beleive that no characters should start out that powerful. Hense why mine are 'weak'. I, and I beleive Becko, and anyone who wants to play in a decent RP would want your character around. Mine will DEVELOP. hense the point of an RP.

and if Marie cleared it, than excellent for you. you expect that I know that?

In any case, I'm not sure if I'd like to partake in an RP where over powered characters have free run of the entire game.


And if it makes you happy, I did mention it to Nozdormu as well, him being my boyfriend none the less. I did not mean to offend you, but I think this RP will turn to the complete crap that many others are if this is the way it's started.

To everyone: Burning Thought said that he had lost interest in his character so I am guessing he is making a new one. Hopefully will he take your thoughts and feeling in consideration and make a wearker character. Not because he has to, but because that is what everyone wants and the sake of all this is to have a good time.

To Soridormi: I will be setting a restriction to power. Once I figure out a good way to place these on words, I will update the rules and notify you all. Until then, those of you that make new characters- please try to keep them at minor powers. You may update their powers once I have set this limitation onto words.

To Nozdormu: Your character, like Burning Thoughts is powerful but allowed. I am going with the crowd and wishes for both of you to respect this. From how I understood it, your character will not be engaging combat much and due to that fact I will have no problems at all with this. Just keep in mind that I mentioned dragons being rare.

To Becko: I love you! Now, I agree with you that we should rather develop than begin at our prime. I will be informing all of you when I have set a rule concerning restrictions Smile

What her enchanting magic limits her to is unknown to all but herself, but she works for peace rather than wall and her powers are limited to the amount of powder she has. Since she is very little and her magical pockets stores more than they should, she still can not carry a lot of powder.
Equipment/Tools: Magical Powder she herself creates from flowers, rocks, gems and more. Her power is to 90% based on this powder.

and i agree with you Justice, lets drop it. Sorry for escalating things, I have a natural protective nature for Nozdormu Wink

On another note, I don't plan on leaving...but I'll have you know my characters were not going to 'stay weak'. I had planned on developing them to strengths equal to or possibly greater than BTs. For me that's what can be fun in the RP though, and without that there would be no real goal.

I accept apologies, i suppose you would try and protect Nozmordu, although i was not bashing him, i was pointing out his character is indeed overpowered in comparison, its large, fast, covers two character classes and has magic

The changes to my Lich will be that he will start off without his staff and his hourglass perhaps, his adventure and growth in power will begin after he finds it in the RP so he may stay on a fair level in the beginning and grow in power throughout till the end.

Do you think that- for me- you could at least remove the return to life power? There is no fun if a character keeps coming back to life whatever happens to him. It kind of takes away the fun Smile I do not mind your summonings. I assume they are fairly weak anyway.

He cannot come back without the Hourglass anyway and by the time he gets it powerful enough to do that ime sure everyone will be able to defeat him or remove it from him in various ways, id be surprised if any player actually dies anyway if you get my meaning, ime sure most people will dodge or parry most blows which happens usually in any battle since most rarely allow the other to destroy them, unless ofc they have a good reason to want them to die

Also to Nozmordu, do you mind lessening your size a little, or perhaps if not that, your ability to use magic, i feel a combinatio of great size and good speed is powerful enough without having magic even if its only a little

Yeah, I plan on doing a couple of changes to the dragon. I just want a dragon. Wouldnt care if he's the weakest dragon the world has ever seen. All I want is the actual race. I even made him peaceful to avoid having him appear as something overpowered. He will not be doing any fighting, and definatly not be using magic in combat. I'll barely have him interact in the actual war itself and perhaps not even with most of the characters for a longer period of time. He will be by himself quite a lot.

When I made him, I wanted a more philosophical character, rather than the warrior type. He will more question the meaning of life, than if he should or shouldnt enter combat. He will fight only when he can not run and even then he will be careful not to hurt anyone at all, not even exiled. He will likely not take one single life trough the entire roleplay. He will probably not even hurt parts of nature itself. Even when forced to force will he do his darnest to not harm anyone.
